Pioneer Lab, ISO Certified since 2009
Innovative hospitals and medical clinics such as Pioneer Lab embrace ISO 9001:2008 as a way to identify and focus on the most successful approaches to patient/client care and as a method to standardize the important aspects of operating a healthcare organization.
To be truly ISO Certified, each facility is audited annually by an external party. ISO 9001:2008 is recognized by businesses around the world as the benchmark for continual quality improvement, with the aim of achieving customer satisfaction by fulfilling their requirements. To achieve this result, a company needs to be audited year after year after year. Only then can claims of compliance and continuous improvement be verified.
Since 2009, PCLMCI is audited annually by GlobalGROUP, management experts in this field. The same auditor has returned for each annual audit so that he knows and can track the status of our ISO compliances very well. This allows the auditor to go deeper and deeper into the policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance with the standard and to indeed affect Continuous Improvement. Being certified offers a disciplined and systematic approach to health care.
It is more than an accreditation program; it’s a catalyst for our ongoing commitment to clinical quality. ISO 9001 standards help us to improve our healthcare processes. By consistently following the processes we have in place, we are able to provide the best possible care that supports positive outcomes for our clients.
ISO 9001 has the element of continual improvement which is what makes this standard so unique and effective. All processes are monitored and once the processes meet the standard, we have to keep getting better. The external auditors for accreditation want to know how you keep getting better which forces improvements.
It’s a proactive healthcare model and business tool that supports clinical excellence and quality care. It also supports our vision: TO BE AMONG THE LEADING PROVIDERS OF QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES IN REGION IV-A.
More than 100 countries now recognize the 9001:2008 standard. This ensures that the services provided by our facilities meet the requirements of its customers.
ISO 9001:2008 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. (SOURCE: www.iso.org/iso/iso_9000)
