PIONEER LAB SUPERHEROES-MANIA
In modern popular fiction, a superhero (sometimes rendered super-hero or super hero) is a type of heroic character possessing extraordinary talents, supernatural phenomena, or superhuman powers and is dedicated to a moral goal or protecting the public.
By most definitions, characters do not require actual supernatural or superhuman powers or phenomena to be deemed superheroes, although terms such as costumed crime fighters, costumed adventurers or masked vigilantes are sometimes used to refer to those such as Batman and Green Arrow without superpowers who share other superhero traits.
Some superheroes use their powers to counter day-to-day crime while also combating threats against humanity by super villains, their criminal counterparts. Often, one of these super villains will be the superhero’s archenemy. Some long-running superheroes, such as Superman, Batman, Iron Man, and Spider-Man, have a rogue’s gallery of enemies. Superheroes sometimes will combat such threats as aliens, supernatural entities, and even ideological enemies such as Nazis, says Wikipedia.
“PIONEER LAB SUPERHEROES –MANIA” started nearly a year ago, during its search for an official Lady Mascot’s name. Valuing public opinion, an overnight Facebook, “Name-Our-Lady-Mascot-Contest” brought the many “Pioneer Lab heroic names”, to our extreme amazement. After having named our lady mascot – “Zoomie Neeropi”, for her ability to zoom and glide, to and fro, earth and skies for medical and green initiatives, and with the other “most-liked-names”, “Mighty Pioneer” (our mascot since 2009) met his Superhero-Family at last on August 1, 2015.
WHAT IS IT THEN, THE ROLE OF PIONEER LAB SUPERHEROES?
IT’S FOR THE 3-BL (THREE BOTTOM-LINE).
FIRST: “Kids need heroes!” In a child’s memory, the towel-cape-play is a common denominator especially for boys. While parents should be role models for kids, superheroes remind them that “there will always be somebody they can lean on (to beat the villain, such as nurses who will do the injection!), in a fantastic –awesome way. Perfect that with the Pioneer Lab superheroes in mind, coming over for blood tests, injections and check-ups has become an exciting activity.
SECOND: “Even adults need heroes!” Why are adults hooked to the adventures of Superman, Captain America, Batman, Wolverine, Spider-Man, – and all the other superheroes of today? Because by nature, we all need adventure. Further, when we are feeling weary and weak, we like to seek help from someone stronger ; or be with somebody who can give us the “feel-good-moment”; have somebody whom we can rely onto such as a friend, and for that matter , “ Why not a superhero?” That’s cool! This made us relate and love the many adventures of the fictional superheroes, like kids’ do. And …remember, “Sometimes, we need to adapt the kids’ way, to enjoy and appreciate life unquestionably!”
THIRD: “Pioneer Lab Superheroes” represent the many facets of Pioneer Lab’s management and employees ( its leaders, doctors, nurses, medical technologists, diagnostic imaging-technologists , and all its workers ) , who selflessly engage themselves to work above and beyond their call of duty, to serve and be of assistance to everybody , more so – touch lives at the end of the day. Pioneer Lab, through the superheroes would like to reach into the hearts of everybody, that – “WE DON’T JUST EXAMINE; WE CARE!”
